Not Quite Yet the End

The announcement by news reporting organizations that Joe Biden was the projected winner for the 2020 presidential election was greeted in many quarters with a palpable sense of relief, with expressions of outright joy.

Kamala Harris and Joe Biden were on TV Saturday night with victory speeches as joyous crowds gathered and fireworks lit the night sky.

But this is not quite yet the end.

Donald Trump is sadly still with us.

His unrelenting braying and whining that the election is a massive fraud still shreds and tears at the last vestiges of our sanity and our patience.

Donald Trump is convinced he really won.

He has, of course, not one shred of evidence to support any of these allegations.

Donald Trump is being Donald Trump.

And the Republican Party, snivelling sycophants to Li'L Donnie for the last four years continues to be snivelling sycophants to Li'L Donnie even unto the death throes of his God forsaken fuck up of an administration.

What the unholy goddam fuck, Republican Party? What will it take for you to see that this fucking moron of an emperor is devoid of any clothes?

There has been no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 election. Both Republican and Democrat observers have assessed the vote counting process as being properly handled with no malfeasance of any kind.

Yet Trump continues to holler and bellow that the voting process is rigged against him and Republicans are backing this son of a bitch in his efforts to create chaos and undermine confidence in our election process.

Trump is filing a flurry of law suits in multiple states to challenge election results not favorable to him. Lacking any actual supporting facts, the consensus right now is that Joe Biden's victory will not be overturned.

But that's not stopping Donald Trump from trying and he will keep trying as long as Republicans continue to support his insane, paranoid efforts to do so.

We are not out of this yet.
