The Cover Is Not the Book

Sometimes you might find out in the wild somewhere a comic book that isn't what it appears to be.

The cover promises the Amazing Spider-Man but the interior is an issue of the Incredible Hulk.

Or an issue of the Flash lurks under a Batman cover.

It's a rare thing but it happens.

But even then, one would not expect a Marvel comic to be found under the cover of a DC comic.

Nonetheless, that very thing did occur back in 1981.

Under the George Perez cover of New Teen Titans #6 can be found Marvel-Two-In-One #74.

At the time Marvel Comics and DC were both printing at Ronald's Printing in Canada when the cross-up occurred.

I think about 3 copies escaped from the factory which makes this quite a rarity. I'm not sure that accounts for the $1 million asking price.

My Twitter pal Aaron Meyers recently posted this cover from Silver Surfer#56. As is my want, I had to make a comment about it.

Well, Aaron liked it.

That's that for today.

Stay safe out there, remember to be good to one another and you can't always judge a book by its cover.
