Today's theme is TV Theme Songs!
First up is a particularly good theme song from the Netflix series, Jessica Jones. The theme by Sean Callery fits the mood of the show perfectly, a moody mix of low key jazz mixed with a rock 'n' roll power punch of electric guitar.
The link below is for an extended mix of the theme.
The next theme is from another Netflix series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The show's theme song, "Unbreakable", was produced by The Gregory Brothers and written by Jeff Richmond.
.
Damn, this still stays stuck in my head.
"They alive, dammit!"
"Females are strong as hell!"

Let's go back to the 1970s for two theme songs from the same show. WKRP In Cincinnati had a closing theme by Jim Ellis, a hard driving rock tune with unintelligble lyrics. (There's something in there about a "bartender" and that's about all I got.)
I'm also including the opening theme for WKRP In Cincinnati, a more gentle mellow gold type of thing popular in the 1970s. The links below is a version as a single for Top 40 radio by Steve Carlisle.
The next theme is the newest AND the oldest on his post.
For the movie and the TV show What We Do In the Shadows, the theme song is "You're Dead" by Norma Tanega.
Norma wrote and performed this song for an album she released back in 1966. Below is the version from that 1966 release.
I loved the theme song from What We Do In the Shadows and was impressed by the 1960s folk music vibe the song seemed to replicate. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the 1960s folk music vibe was for real.
And I became fascinated by the story of Norma Tanega. Enough so to create a separate Songs For Saturday spotlight post about her and her music. That will post will go live later today.
Until next time, remember to be good to one another and to always keep the music alive.
