Happy Birthday, SpongeBob SquarePants!

Hi there! I know with everyone stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic, a common complaint is losing track of time.

So let's take a moment to get our bearings.

Today is Friday.

And it is the first day of May.

Yeah, it seemed like March was going to last forever and now where did April go?

So today is May 1st.

Today is the anniversary of the premiere of SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon back in 1999.

(OK, technically, Nickelodeon held a preview for the series in the United States on May 1, 1999. The series officially premiered on July 17, 1999.)

So....

Let's celebrate with something FUN!

That was Ethan Slater as SpongeBob SquarePants and

Wesley Taylor as Sheldon J. Plankton along with "Guy making all the sounds".

Next up is a clip of my favorite Sandy Squirrel scene from the episode, "Spongebob, Sandy and the Worm" which is probably my favorite Spongebob episode.

Next up are some pages from the 2017 Spongebob Squarepants free comic book day special.

Yay, for Spongebob!

Tomorrow on the blog is Songs For Saturday and because it's day 2 of May, the spotlight will be on the music of U2!

Until next time, remember to be good to one another.
