With a lot of people with a mad on push to get life back to normal, it seems almost off, quaint even, to speak of life in quarantine.
Hell, no, it is not quaint. It is still very much a reality.
Here in North Carolina, we're seeing cases of COVID-19 on the rise with increased rates of hospitalization. This damn coronavirus pandemic is not done with us.
But the push is still on to re-open. Because some people insists on the right to not stay inside.
I get that at some point we have to climb out of our respective hidey-holes and return blinking into the light of the sun. But we need to be smart about it. We need to have a handle on where the virus is, who has it and do we have it under control.
North Carolina is not the only state to see rises in occurrences of the virus.
Now part of my resistance to re-opening up country is not just concerns about the virus and how to protect each other from it.
I am being a bit selfish. Life in quarantine is not much different for me from life out of quarantine.
Much like the lists above, my life in lockdown is not so different from life without lockdown.
Stay safe, everyone. The danger is still real.
Be good to one another.
