Meet Jimothy

Writing mid-week blog posts is the worst.

Sorry, guys!

So I'm going to kick back and let a raccoon do today's blog work.

Say hello to Jimothy. a wild raccoon living in Seattle, Washington, United States.

His distinctive short, round form is likely due to  short spine syndrome, an affliction that commonly occurs in dogs but can also be found in other mammals.

Such as raccoons.

Seattle resident Kiana Hall posted a video of this most unique raccoon on Instagram. Kiana named him Jimothy? Why?

"He just looked like a Jimothy to me."

Jimothy has become quite the social media sensation.

  • Jimothy holds an honorary degree from the University of Washington.
  • He has received special recognition by the Seattle City Council.

Jimothy for public office? Why not?

  • Blizzard Entertainment posted a tribute to Jimothy in the style of World of Warcraft
  • D&D Beyond released a stat block of Jimothy for use in D&D
  • A bobblehead manufacturer made available a Jimothy statuette, with proceeds donated to an animal rescue charity.
  • If you search for Jimothy on Google, an animated version of the raccoon scampers across the screen.
  • Jimothy is included on Roku screensavers

Not bad for a quirky cute little raccoon from Seattle.

After that it's Your Friday Video Link, Saturday is Movie Time and we'll go Star Trekking on Sunday.

But before all that...?

What the hell! It's MORE JIMOTHY!

Y'all be good to one another and if you see Jimothy, be sure to say "hi!"

Doctor Who Is NEW: A Royal Mission

I thought I would have to wait for YEARS to use "Doctor Who Is NEW" for a blog post.

So imagine my surprise when I came across some new Doctor Who!

Sir Chris Hoy and comedian Greg McHugh take the TARDIS on a mission to get the King and Queen to the Commonwealth Games of 2026 in Glasgow.

I was a bit disappointed at the end we didn't get King Charles giving to the old "don't forget to click below and subscribe to the official Doctor Who You Tube channel". Or perhap, better yet, Chris Hoy. (Click the link above for his story.)

We get an appearance by a bonafide Doctor, Sylvester McCoy.

We should've gotten McCoy to do the "click below and subscribe" spiel.

Like Hoy and McHugh, McCoy is a native Scotsman.

Doctor Who may be in limbo right now with no new episodes in production but this shows the program still resonates with the United Kingdom public.

Politics Of Absurdity - Vote For Count Binface!

So this campaign poster has been appearing at the end of my blog posts since Monday.

What is going on here?

Who is Count Binface?

Count Binface is an intergalactic space warrior, leader of the Recyclons from the planet Sigma IX.

Count Binface is the hope and salvation of Clacton On Sea.

Okay, I'll bite: What the hell is a "Clacton On Sea"?

Clacton-on-Sea (or just Clacton) is a coastal town in Essex, England on the Tendring Peninsula.  It has a population of about 53,000 people.

Clacton has been thrust into the international spotlight because their MP (Member of Parliament) is a self serving prick named Nigel Farage.

Fuck! More questions?!?

Who the fuck is Nigel Farage?

He's this guy.

Farage is a conservative opportunist like we have in America. Think JD Vance but with remarkably even less charisma. He uses conservative causes to advance his own naked grabs for power and influence.

Farage was a gladfly in British politics using all sorts of racist propoganda to push the country towards Brexit and to promote himself as some kind of political leader, with eyes on 10 Downing Street and one day becoming Prime Minister.

That being said, it was not until July 2024 that Farage actually won an election, as an MP for Clacton.

He appears to have used that time in office to enrich himself and came under investigation for receiving large questionable payments, what you and I might call "bribes".

Pleading weaponization of the government against him, Farage resigned as MP from Clacton which triggered a by-election to fill his empty seat in Parliament.

Farage declared himself a candidate for the seat he just resigned from. He wants to make the votes of the people a referendum on his culpability for charges of corruption. Let the people decide, not some deep state entity out to get him.

So far the only candidate running against Farage in this by-election is Count Binface.

This guy!

Count Binface has been a presence in British elections for several years now, running as an official candidate on various ballots.

Including this by-election for MP of Clacton On Sea.

What exactly is his political agenda?

  • He is NOT Nigel Farage.
  • Address the nation's housing crisis by building ONE affordable house.
  • Cut YOUR taxes, raise everybody else's
  • Ban the use of the speakerphone function on mobile phones, with offenders forced to watch the 2019 film Cats every day for a year
  • Rename London Bridge to "Phoebe Waller-Bridge"
  • Make the minimum voting age 16 and a maximum voting age of 80.
  • Move the hand dryer in the men's toilet at the Crown and Treaty pub in Uxbridge to a more sensible position.

I've seen photos from the men's room at the Crown and Treaty pub and Count Binface is NOT wrong. Who thought putting the hand dryer in a corner between the urinals and the sinks was a good idea?

Unlike previous elections where Count Binface was clearly the joke candidate, in this election, it is Nigel Farage who many consider to be the joke.

Could Count Binface win this thing?

Look at these two men.

One of them is a joke, an embarrassment.

The other is Count Binface.

Here is some recent polling data.

I for one welcome our rubbish bin helmeted Overlord.*

*Even if that overlord is just 46 year old British writer Jonathan David Harvey.

?????????????????????????????

The politics of absurdity remains strong here in the United States.  Donald Trump is going to make an address to the nation this evening.

The topic is expected to be:

  • His war with Iran?  Nope!
  • How much shit costs in the United States? Nope!
  • The explosive diarrhea outbreak ravaging the nation? Nope!

A rambling rant about how he really won the 2020 election? Yeah, that's the one.

Where is Count Binface when you need him?

The Week In Trump By Dave Columbo

I'm not up for the normal politically themed post on whatever bullshit Donald Trump did last week.

So from one Dave to another, I'm going to let Dave Columbo do the heavy lifting with his weekly summary of whatever bullshit Donald Trump did last week.

Dave Columbo is an actor and comedian I've been following for months on Tik Tok and I thank him for his sacrifice for shining a light on the hell we're all living through.

One of Dave's recurring bits is to do dramatic readings but instead of using a classic play or movie script, Dave uses Li'l Donnie's speeches.

Like this dramatic monologue based on Trump's actual rant about pens during an actual cabinet meeting.

Thank you, Dave, for doing this work so I don't have to.

Lindsey Graham

Well, I sure as hell didn't see this one coming.

While we've been out here trying to figure out if Sen. Mitch McConnell is alive or dead or some other 3rd thing, Sen. Lindsey Graham actually went and done did die and we know about it.

Unlike that bastard Mitch*, it was awfully nice of Lindsey not to leave us hanging on the subject of his death.

Well, Lindsey was always such a drama queen.

*By the way, Mitch McConnell issued a statement that he is most assuredly alive and not dead.  Well, there goes all our our fun.

Are we sure Lindsey's dead? Let's check in with the coroner.

So we know he's really dead but as to the how and why of his death....

What the unholy fuck happened?

The official but vague statement is he died of a sudden illness.

We may take that at face value. Dude was 71 years old and stuff you might survive when you're 31 might kill you when you're 71.

But given the recent drama and uncertainty of Sen. Mitch McConnell and the vagueness of the statement on Sen. Graham ("sudden illness" doesn't tell us anything), many are not ready to take anything at face value.

I have some thoughts on the matter. Granted just some idle speculation.

1. The "sudden illness" was not so sudden.  Lindsey was hiding a long term illness to not interfere with his re-election campaign.

2. The senator had just returned from a trip to Ukraine where he was a dependable hawk in boosting Ukraine's resistance to Russian aggression.  Graham has been consistent in urging Donald Trump to continue support for Ukraine which runs counter to what Vladmir Putin wants Li'l Donnie to do. Putin has been known to assassinate enemies with bio-weapons.  What if Graham was the target of such an attack?

All of that is just consipiracy theory bluster. Occam's razor suggests the most likely answer is that Lindsey Graham got done in by an unexpected heart attack or aneurysm or something of that nature.

But given how much we've been lied to and gaslighted by the current Trumop dominated political machine, who can blame us for thinking something else might be up.*

*OK, turns out Lindsey's cause of death was aortic dissection which is what killed actor John Ritter in 2003 at the age 55.  Aortic dissection is some nasty business with intense sweating, chest pain and vomiting before the heart finally gives out. It's a damn shame a nice guy like John Ritter had to go through that.

Moving from Lindsey Graham's death to the course of his life, in this time of Donald Trump and the rise of MAGA, I dare say the same question about his death applies to his life:

What the unholy fuck happened?

I can't say I always supported Sen. Lindsey Graham's politics but I will say this, there was a time we agreed on something.

Both this humble blogger and Sen. Graham agreed that Donald J. Trump was a lying, petulant, bullying, unintelligent, sociopathic, dishonorable, treasonous, gutless, moronic, heartless, soulless, slimy, loathsome, vile, incompetent, psychotic, crooked, disgusting, reprehensible, revolting, horrible, malicious, obnoxious, hateful, narcissistic, small-minded, despicable god damn, motherfucking piece of shit.

In 2015, Sen. Lindsey Graham saw Trump for who he was,  calling him out as a hate mongering con man who was a destructive force for the Republican Party and the nation as a whole, completely "unfit for office".

Lindsey voiced a very clear and cogent assessment of Li'l Donnie.

So I will repeat:  What the unholy fuck happened?

Once Trump was in the White House, Sen. Lindsey Graham swallowed the poisoned MAGA Kool-Aid HARD and became Trump's most vociferous, vocal defender.

Lindsey would get all apoplectic with red faced, white knuckled rage against those he perceive as enemies of his dearly beloved der Führer.

Like when the immensely unqualified Brett Kavanaugh was nominated for the Supreme Court and was being accused of sexual assault, Sen. Lindsay Graham leapt into the fray, his facing turning red, veins throbbing with rage, literally screaming  at the Democrats, ““This is the most unethical sham since I’ve been in politics. And if you really wanted to know the truth, you sure as hell wouldn’t have done what you’ve done to this guy. What you want to do is destroy this guy's life. To hold this seat open and hope you win in 2020. ... Boy, y'all want power. God, I hope you never get it!"

As I said before, Lindsey was always such a drama queen.

Sen. Lindsey Graham did seem to reclaim his backbone in the wake of the January 6th insurrection, disavowing Trump with "I have had enough."

Within weeks, a smiling and supportive Graham was playing golf with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.  Well, THAT didn't last long.

Later, the obsequieous toady tried to tell us "I have had enough" did not mean what we thought it meant.  He claimed the statement referred to the election certification being completed and NOT to his relationship with the insurrection leading Donald Trump.

When Trump was indicted for various crimes in 2023, Lindsey went on TV almost in TEARS (grown man, tears running down his face!) BEGGING people to send money to help his billionaire friend save himself from these gross injustices.

Total. Drama. Queen.

For all his over the top passionate defenses of Donald Trump and his agenda, Lindsey Graham never seem to quite earn the love of der Führer.

For example, at a rally in South Carolina in 2023,  Trump called Graham "a progressive who helps me get liberal votes" which got the Senator booed at that rally.  Given Graham's super conservative, hawkish (the man always did love himself a good ol' war), calling him "a progressive who helps me get liberal votes" seems a very odd assessement.

Unless,as I speculated in 2023, that was Li'l Donnie's coded way of saying he thinks (or knows) Lindsey Graham was gay.

Hey, the man is dead now so can we confirm: Was Lindsey Graham gay?

As I write this, we don't know. It really shouldn't matter but I guess when you're a Senator from a very deeply conservative (i.e., racist, homophobic) state like South Carolina, you keep a little thing like being gay under wraps.

You know, it's probably inappropriate for me to speculate. A person's sexual orientation is a personal matter and if someone wants to come out or it keep it quiet, that's their business.

And if Lindsey was gay, I'm not sure the LGBTQIA+ community would've wanted him.

Lindsey's record as a Senator was littered with votes against the LGBTQIA+ community.

Again, I ask, What the unholy fuck happened?

One should not speak ill of the dead but fuck it, I will.

There may have been a time I might have respected Graham as a man of integrity but over the years, he did so much to undermine that perception.  His alleged "integrity" was on sale to the highest bidder.

Sen.Lindsey Graham will be remembered as a feckless coward who sought power for power's sake and drove American politics into a cesspool of cruelty, shame and corruption.

And that is what the unholy fuck happened!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Speaking of cruelty, shame and corruption, what the fuck did Li'l Donnie do last week?

Let's find out together with a post in about 3 hours with help from a guest presenter.

Movie Time: Weekend At Bernie's.

If Sen. Mitch McConnell is dead, it's been fun watching Republicans twists themselves in knots pretending he's still alive.

Everyone's had a 20 minute phone call with the man.

Comparisons immediately spring to mind to the 1989 comedy Weekend At Bernie's

It's Movie Time!

It's been awhile since I've seen Weekend At Bernie's.

Hell, it may have been in 1989.

I've seen bits and pieces on cable over the years since.

I remember the basic plot. (With a little help from Wikipedia.)

Larry & Richard, two low level drones at an insurance company uncover some shenanigans, money being paid on fraudulent claims and bring it to the attention of the CEO, Bernie Lomax. They think Bernie is going to reward them for their hard work as they head for the big time in the world of high finance.

Bernie expresses his gratitude by inviting them to his beach place at the Hamptons.

OK, maybe "gratitude" ain't the right word. The shenanigans Larry and Richard found is Bernie's embezzling and luring them to the beach house is part of a plot to have them killed.

But Vito, the mob boss that Bernie works for, thinks the real liability is Bernie.  Couple that with his wife (the one playing footsie with Bernie's crotch under the table; it's a scene I remember vividly) is having an affair with Bernie and well...  Bernie's gotta die.

Paulie, one of Vito's thugs, carries out the hit with a lethal heroin injection. Bernie dies with a goofy grin on his face.

When Larry and Richard arrive at the beach house, Bernie is dead.

And for reasons of plot, Larry and Richard can't let anyone know that right now.

Between sun glasses, a floppy hat, that stupid grin rigor mortis has frozen to his face and some complicated corpse puppetry by Larry and Richard helps to convey the illusion that Bernie is still the life of the party.

The oblivious vacuousness of Bernie's acquaintences helps the ruse work. It's the 1980's and all these people are high on getting rich and doing lines of coke so who's gonna notice that Bernie might be acting a little weird?

Through all this, Bernie's corpse hosts a party where one of the guests has sex with him. (Ew!)  And he spends time at the beach, waving to people and just having a good ol' time.

Paulie is puzzled about how Bernie can still be alive after that big jolt of heroin. He keeps coming back to the beach house to kill him as his frustration grows on why Bernie can't seem to stay dead.

It's all a sordid mess and ultimately poor Bernie is officially observed to be most sincerely dead while Larry and Richard escape with their lives.

Gee, the Hamptons look a lot like North Carolina.

  • The Hamptons scenes were filmed at Bald Head Island.
  • Bernie's house was filmed at Fort Fisher
  • The ferry scenes were filmed at Wrightsville Beach.
New York City was filmed in New York City.

Weekend At Bernie's becoming a metaphor for the current situation with Mitch McConnell is part of the WIkipeida entry for this movie.

As best I understand it, that's really Terry Kiser being lugged around as the desceased Bernie Lomax for most of the film. That's some really good acting.

As I recall, I enjoyed the movie well enough but found the premise kind of wears out it's welcome by the halfway point. The proverbial beating of the dead horse. It's as tasteless and crude as the subject matter would suggest. The young woman having sex with Bernie and not realizing he's dead? It's kind of funny I guess but also a bit too much.

As I write this, we do not know if Mitch McConnell is dead or alive.

Maybe we'll know by the time this posts.

Or maybe he is dead but he'll still show up at the Senate like a zombie. Like how Bernie came back in Weekend At Bernie's II.

Funny, I thought ol' Mitch already was a zombie.

Schrödinger's Tortoise.

Today we're gonna be chatting about Mitch McConnell seen here with the mortifying realization of what the fuck is going to happen to him....

...is DEAD!

...is NOT dead!

It's Schrödinger's tortoise.

Several weeks after paramedics were called to his home,
the status of Sen. Mitch McConnell  remains unknown.

The rumors abound that McConnell is in a coma or brain dead,
or being kept alive by machines.

Or alive  and well enough to have a 20 minute chat wih CNN
conservative pundit Scott Jennings. And Sen.John Barrasso had a 20
minute call with Mitch.  As this Sen. John Thune.

And a 20 minute call with Rep.  Thomas Massie.

So the rumors of McConnell's demise seem to be unfounded.

Or Jennings, Thune and Barrasso are lying. (Massie it turns out
was likely having fun with this whole "2o minute phon calls with
Mitch thing.)

Both alternatives can't possibly be equally true.

Me, I'm leaning towards Jennings and the Two Johns are not
being honest with us.

Really? All these phone calls were 20 minutes?

Fine! I wanna play too!

I had a phone call with Sen. McConnell where we discussed for
20 minutes the best way to make banana pudding. I think Mitch
agrees that like revenge, banana pudding is a dish best
served cold.

My wife Andrea spoke on the phone with Sen. McConnell
for 20 minutes toponder why that platypus in the corner is
wearing a fedora.

Rose the Dog had a 20 minute phone conversation with Sen.
McConnell where the discussion was "Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark!" Rosie was somewhat recalcitrant about what she
said back to him.

Apparently there are some political shenanigans that I admittedly
do not fully understand about why it is important that Mitch
McConnell not be dead, at least right now.

Until we open up Schrödinger's box to determine which timeline
we're in, the one with a dead tortoise or the other one, allow me
to indulge in some nostalgia.

Back in 2013 and 2014, I ran a feature called Broken News,
a weekly post of news and political satire.

Satire is comedy that if it's not funny, it's your fault.

Mitch was  a frequest guest in Broken News and actually
got his own recurring part, something I called...

AWKWARD MOMENTS
AWKWARD MOMENTS
AWKWARD MOMENTS
AWKWARD MOMENTS
AWKWARD MOMENTS
with
MITCH MCCONNELL
MITCH MCCONNELL
MITCH MCCONNELL
MITCH MCCONNELL
MITCH MCCONNELL

Who knows? By the time this posts, we might have a definitive
answer to the question if Mitch McConnell is alive or dead or
hovering in limbo somewhere in between.

But until then, I gotta say this has been kind of fun.

The most I've had with the manipulative miscreant since 2104.

Go to the light, Mitch! Go to the light.....

This (Non) Sporting Life: World Cup Sucker Punch

A big sporting event of worldwide importance is going on and I haven't written abou it on my blog.

Said event is the FIFA World Cup, an international contest in the game of soccer which is being played here in the United States as well as venues in Mexico and Canada.

I haven't written about it because it don't know much about soccer and quite frankly, I care even less.

Welcome to another edition of This (Non) Sporting Life, an irregular feature of this blog about sports written by someone who does not know much or care about sports.

By all accounts per my admittedly very limited understanding, the World Cup has been going very well.

The United States' team has been holding their own and advancing through this tournament.

There was an unfortunate incident while the U.S was playing Portugal when the American's star forward Folarin Balogun stepped on the ankle of an opposing player.  This earned Balogun a red card.

A red card is a penalty that removes a player from the field for that game and prohibits the player from participating in the next match as well.

Much like a flagrant foul in college basketball, a ref handing out a red card is not looking to determine intent. Did Balogun mean to step on that player's ankle? It doesn't matter, it's still a prohibited action and there are consequences for doing something wrong.

Which brings us to Donald Trump.

I mean, it shouldn't. Why the unholy fuck does Li'l DOnnie need to be concerned with what's going on in World Cup soccer?

Because Trump is an expert on sports.

“I’m a person that loves sports and was a good athlete. And I understand sports really well. Really well. And that wasn’t a foul. That wasn’t even an infraction."

So der Führer made a phone call or three to FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Infantino was the guy who created and presented a FIFA Peace Prize to Donald Trump after Trump petulantly whined about not getting a Nobel Peace Prize.

And for the first time in 64 years,FIFA overturned a Red Card ruling and cleared Folarin Balogun to play as the United States readied to take on Belgium.

Trump tried to pull a Steve Urkel with a "Did I do that?" response.

“All I did, all I did, I asked for a review ’cause I didn’t think it was a foul. And again, I’m good at this stuff. I didn’t think it was a foul. I thought it was two great athletes who crashed into each other and got entangled.”

Then Li'l Donnie began claiming the referee was untrustworthy.

“This referee, who is a little bit suspect if you check his past. I don’t want to say that because I don’t like to create controversy. But very suspect.”

Do I need to tell you that Trump offered NOTHING to support his claims the ref was "suspect"?

So a lot of goodwill about the World Cup games and all these different people and cultures coming together for the sheer joy of the sport of soccer just gets shredded under a cloud of suspicion caused by Donald Trump's unwarranted interference.

Jesus H. Christ! Can we NOT go ONE damn day without this lying, petulant, bullying, unintelligent, sociopathic, dishonorable, treasonous, gutless, moronic, heartless, soulless, slimy, loathsome, vile, incompetent, psychotic, crooked, disgusting, reprehensible, revolting, horrible, malicious, obnoxious, hateful, narcissistic, small-minded, despicable god damn, motherfucking piece of shit making every goddam thing about himself?

As an American, I'm supposed be rooting for the United States team.  But given Trump's fuckery, I almost hope Belgium kicks their ass.

And they did!

Belgium shredded the Americans in a 4-1 win Monday night.

The Trump curse strikes again!

American Afterparty

So Saturday, July 4th, marked the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marking the beginning of the nation we have come to call Oosah.

OK, I call Ooshah.  As in USA.  USA = Oosah?  Get it?

I need to accept this is not going to catch on.

But c'mon, guys! It's clever! Ad it's funny!

Oosah!

...

...

Just me, then? Fine!

Anyway...

250 is a nice big round number and seems to warrant celebration.

God knows some entities tried to drum up a sense of a having a good time.

For example, ABC and Disney put on a program called Disney Celebrates America, a 24-hour long broadcast across multiple platforms. Anchored by David Muir, it was an immersive program with stories, events and performances across 50 states.

Well, good for them.

But I did not feel like celebrating.

I remember back in 1976 when the 200th anniversary felt like a more joyous occassion.  Of course I was a kid and perhaps not fully cognizant of the nation's mood.

I mean we were a country that just got it's ass kicked in Vietnam.

And we had a scandal plague President resign in disgrace.

But those set backs were in the rear view mirror and maybe, just maybe looking back to the kooky can do spirit of throwing off the shackles of British rule in 1776, we could find inspiration of to throw off the chains of self doubt and despair and possiblty see a brighter future.

Yeah, I was a kid then so what the hell did I know.

But it feels different now than it did then.

It feels more like.... WARNING! This is gonna sound bitter.

Today, celebrating the 250th birthday of America feels more like one of those situations where you're forced to go to a nursing home to "celebrate" the birthday of an ancient great grandma whose dementia addled brain has no fucking idea where they are or who you are.

But your mom or aunt insists goddammit we're gonna have a party for dear sweet great grandma who is reduced to barely audible whispers pleading for death.

And by God we WILL gather around a shriveled soon to be corpse and sing "Happy Birthday" with a flame dotted chocolate cake the poor suffering great grandma can't eat.

Yeah, the 250th birthday of the United States of America feels like that.

And you're thinking, "Dude, you were right! That is some serious levels of bitter."

But it's how I feel.

And speaking of dementia addled brains, this lack of joy, this lack of hope, this lack of giving a goddam solitary fuck can be laid at the feet of one indivividual.

I know him as a lying, petulant, bullying, unintelligent, sociopathic, dishonorable, treasonous, gutless, moronic, heartless, soulless, slimy, loathsome, vile, incompetent, psychotic, crooked, disgusting, reprehensible, revolting, horrible, malicious, obnoxious, hateful, narcissistic, small-minded, despicable god damn, motherfucking piece of shit.

Or, to save time, Donald J. Trump.

Faced with a pivotal moment in history, to speak to the ages, to speak to ALL Americans, Li'l Donnie can only speak to his own ego and his own petty fear mongering impulses.

Speaking at Mount Rushmore on July 3rd for a presumably 250th birthday celebratory event, der Führer chose to rant about communists.

Let's organize our timeline a bit.

  • The current year is 2026.
  • We're looking back at an historic event in 1776.
  • Trump thinks he's in 1956.

Evoking the 1950's era Red Scare, Li'l Donnie's new favorite bogeymen are Communists that he insists will take over the country if Democrats win the midterms.

As far as I can tell, Trump defines a communist as anyone who disagrees with him.

If you are an American citizen who does not think the way der Führer thinks, you are in his petty little mind the enemy of America.

Since his petty little mind is preserved in the amber of 1956, that makes you a communist.

Naturally Trump loves the 1950's.  Everyone on TV was white.

Trump is incapable of anything resembling an appeal to unity.

He only sees life as "Us Vs. Them".

Or maybe more to the point, "Him Vs. Anyone Not Him".

On the night of July 4th while Americans were trying to capture some kind of feeling of unified joy with fireworks, der Führer had to open his damn mouth right before midnight with a 45 minute meander through a MAGA themed American history, brags about his accomplishments (it seems Iran has been destroyed for what, the 100th time? No one has destroyed Iran more times than Trump), reminders that communism is a threat and an appeal to pass his voter suppression bill, the SAVE Act.

In an historic moment 250 years in the making, designed for unity and joy, Li'l Donnie could only stagger towards that moment with his usual appeals to his ego and to fear.

And yeah, I'm not happy about that.  It's been 250 years. This country has been through a lot and we deserve better.

Instead we're broken apart, from the world and from each other and there's this  lying, petulant, bullying, unintelligent, sociopathic, dishonorable, treasonous, gutless, moronic, heartless, soulless, slimy, loathsome, vile, incompetent, psychotic, crooked, disgusting, reprehensible, revolting, horrible, malicious, obnoxious, hateful, narcissistic, small-minded, despicable god damn, motherfucking piece of shit pounding on that break with a crow bar.

The chocolate cake is on fire and great grandma would like to die in peace if that's OK with you.

Comic Book Retro 50:July 1976

Welcome to another edition of Comic Book Retro 50 where I look back at comics I bought 50 years ago., This month takes us back to July 1976....
