Now I haven't posted anything of late about Ted Cruz being a Lying Fuck Bastard not because he's redeemed himself and is no longer a Lying Fuck Bastard!

In the current socio-political climate, getting any one of these people to stand out as Lying Fuck Bastard is tough.
But I'll be damned if Tucker Carlson did give it that good ol' extra "git up 'n' go" to propel himself into the Lying Fuck Bastard Spotlight!
So here's the deal.
Dominion Voting Systems has a $1.6 billion defamation law suit against Fox News. Fox New hosts were bringing on nut cases like Sydney Powell and Rudy Guiliani to promote bullshit conspiracy theories to support Donald Trump's contention that the 2020 election was rigged and he really won it and anyone who says different is a big old meanie.
Among the accusations in defense of Li'l Donnie's hurt feelings was that Dominion's voting machines were changing votes from Trump to Biden.
Many, many efforts by many, many people have been expended to prove there were any instances of any wide spread fraud perpetrated by anybody and so far those efforts have come up with absolutely diddlysquat in proving anything other than the election results were legit and accurate and Biden won the damn thing.
But the nut cases on Fox News wouldn't shut the fuck up and hence Dominion's defamation lawsuit became a thing.
Proving defamation against a mass media outlet is very hard. It's not enough to show the information presented was false but that it was intentionally false.
And it looks like Dominion can prove that.
They have a shit ton of internal emails from Fox News personalities and executives that clearly state that they really thought Trump's accusations of voting fraud were bullshit and the people coming on the air to promote their theories in support of that accusation were bullshit.
Among their number, no one at Fox News was more full of shit than Tucker Carlson.
Texts and emails detail that Tucker particularly did not believe the bullshit that Trump's acolytes were peddling on the network and on his show and there was no love lost for Li'l Donnie himself.
Get a load of this text from January 4, 2021:
“We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can’t wait. I hate him passionately.”
"What he’s good at is destroying things. He’s the undisputed world champion of that. He could easily destroy us if we play it wrong.”
“That’s the last four years. We’re all pretending we’ve got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest. But come on. There isn’t really an upside to Trump.”
And yet there was Tucker Carlson night after night defending Trump, taking up his cause of a stolen election and giving voice to supporters who still defend Trump's stolen election narrative.
Why?
Because it was what Fox News viewers WANTED to hear.
In addition to his communications that "Trump is a big stupid whiny loser and I'll be glad when we're rid of him", he was all voicing concern about declining ratings, declining ad revenue and declining stock prices.
When Fox’s White House correspondent dispelled notions about voter fraud and Dominion, Tucker Carlson wanted her fired. “Please get her fired. Seriously ... What the fuck? I’m actually shocked... It needs to stop immediately, like tonight. It’s measurably hurting the company. The stock price is down. Not a joke.”
Tucker Carlson was disavowing Trump and his election loss petulance in private and on the air was promoting those same grievances as something to really be worried about.
All that alone would be enough to award Tucker Carlson the coveted Lying Fuck Bastard Spotlight but then he doubled down on the very lie his network is being sued over.
For... reasons (?), House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released thousands of hours of security footage from the January 6th insurrection of 2021 to Tucker Carlson.
Now we all saw with our own eyes what went down that day. This is no partisan matter that Trump supporters were riled up that day and violently stormed the Capitol.
Tucker Carlson presented a different narrative.
He found a few minutes of footage where the Trump supporters were just standing around and NOT yelling obscenities, NOT attacking the guards and NOT destroying property and declared that as proof that the Trump supporters were merely a tour group who was there to calm voice their objections that the election was stolen.
And the night Carlson presented his video "evidence", he opened the piece with the statement that the Trump supporters had every right to be concerned as some bad stuff went down with the 2020 election.
In the aftermath of Dominion's release of emails and texts that Tucker Carlson privately did not believe the election was stolen, there he was again promoting that lie again.
We don't merely suspect that Tucker Carlson is a Lying Fuck Bastard. Thanks to the diligent efforts of Dominion's legal team, we know it and he earns the spotlight big time.
