Bombs Away (Also: Pot Calls Kettle Black)

Yesterday, bombs were sent to CNN as well as to several major Democratic players, including Hillary and Bill Clinton, former President Barack Obama and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.). On Thursday morning, police removed a similar suspicious package from the Manhattan offices of actor Robert DeNiro.  

 

The packages look similar and appear to have been sent by the same person or group.  No one has claimed responsibility. The recipients have at least one thing in common: They have often been the subject of Donald Trump’s insults, mockery and anger.

 

Trump cut right to the source of the problem.

 

“A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News. It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!”

 

“As part of a larger national effort to bridge our divides and bring people together, the media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories.” 

 

I mean, this guy. This is the guy who goes to his circle jerk rallies, rants and raves about how Democrats don’t love America, how the press is the enemy of the people, regularly mocks and insults people who dare disagree with him and it’s the fault of others for “the anger we see today”, the responsibility of others to “set a civil tone”. 

 

The absolute failure of any form of sane or moral leadership from this jackass is why someone out there in the world decided to assemble and mail bombs to a list of people and institutions that just so happen to be on Trump’s list of enemies.

 

Yes, there is a lot of anger out there and there is a purposely false and inaccurate information feeding it but it’s coming from you, you stupid, fat, lying fuck!

 

And the really irritating thing is that you’re not alone. You’ve got all your sniveling sycophants and an entire alleged “news” network perfect happy, willing and able to feed that anger, anger at targets created by your duplicitous and incendiary rhetoric.

And yes, there is anger directed at you, Li'l Donnie! Anger that you act against the most basic of facts, that you deny the most fundamental of truths. We who see the truth will express our anger in protests and at the ballot box.

Your followers, small minded and filled with hate, may not be so willing to take such benign action.
