News of the World: Storms and War and Other Things

Over the weekend, really bad weather hit the mid west United States with tornadoes.  A LOT of tornadoes. And VERY BIG tornadoes.

One really big tornado on Friday afternoon descended onto Omaha, Nebraska where I have co-workers and friends. Thankfully there were no reports of fatalities or serious injuries in Omaha but a lot of buildings and houses were complete devastated.

Here is a local newscast about the tornadoes in Nebraska.

Meanwhile....

Israel is still pounding the shit out of Gaza with Palestinian deaths in the tens of thousands.

When does Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu think he's going to get parity with the 1200 Israelis killed by Hamas on October 7th?  Apparently when ALL Palestinians are dead?

Does that sound like genocide to you? Well, it does to college students across America who have decided enough is enough and are staging protests against the war in Gaza.  Click here for more about that.

Protests against the war policies of the Israeli government are being labeled as "anti-Semitic" by pro-Israel conservatives.

House Speaker Mike Johnson thinks President Biden should call out the National Guard.  That went over really well back in May 4, 1970 when the National Guard shot and killed students protesting the Vietnam war. How long did you pray over that idea, Mike?

GOP South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has a book coming out where she relates how two decades ago she shot and killed a 14-month-old puppy named Cricket.

What? Was the dog mortally wounded in some way and needed to be put out of it's misery? No.

Was this some kind of Old Yeller deal with the dog in raving fit from rabies? No.

No, she shot the dog because he was "worthless" and “untrainable.”

And the story is intended to be a boast about how tough she is and how she can make the hard decisions.

And she tells how her daughter comes home from school and asked "Where's Cricket?"

What a cold, heartless bitch.

This is the 3rd week of Donald Trump's criminal fraud trial.

And his poll numbers went up.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr who has described Trump as unfit for public office has endorsed him.

Sen. Lindsey Graham says he will vote for Trump even if Trump is convicted.

And I think I've lost the will to live.

And I'm done!
