Here's another photo from the set of Doctor Who.
Yep, it's Jodie Whitaker enjoying the hell out of a moment with the Judoon.
Here are some other photos I recently found on the internet with Jodie and Mandip Gil.
One of the recurring criticisms of Doctor Who Series 11 was the lack of character development for Yasmin Kahn. I have posited in previous posts that there was more to Yaz than may have been obvious. Including possibly Yaz having an inherent attraction to the Doctor.
This is not to cast this relationship in particularly sexual terms. I think that Yaz, who has had to work harder than most in her chosen career as a police officer in defiance of bias against her sex, race and religion, sees in the Doctor a woman who just does what needs to be done without regard to what others may think and that I think has a powerful appeal to some like Yasmin Kahn. And if Yaz is a lesbian or bi-sexual, well, she won't be the first companion to fancy the Doctor.
What is evident in the photos above is a level of joy that Jodie and Mandip have in working together that I wish could be translated to their relationship on screen.
Trapped in a world he was not designed to cope with, Dave-El (the true Kryptonian name of alleged Earth creature David Long) writes about comics, Doctor Who, Star Trek, politics, the absurdity of the human condition and whatever other nonsense that befuddles his unbalanced mind.
