I was seriously bummed out to hear that Diane Keaton passed away this weekend.

Why do the wrong people keep--
HOLD IT!
I promised myself I would not make that statement again.
Anyway, it sucks that Diane Keaton is dead and so many NOT good people are not.
I first encountered Diane Keaton at a screening of Annie Hall while I was in college. I immediately fell in love with Diane as Annie. The film is about the relationship of Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) with Annie Hall and how he fucked it up and lost her forever.
I would later meet and fall in love with a woman who reminded me so much of Annie Hall and much like Alvy, I fucked it up and lost her forever.
As such, it's been impossible for me to watch Annie Hall again.
But I would follow Diane Keaton to other projects such as...
- Baby Boom
- Father of the Bride
- The First Wives Club
- Something's Gotta Give
As much as I became enamored with Diane Keaton when she was young, I still found her to still be a vivacious, enchanting presence even as an older actor.
One time Diane Keaton and I went to the same Chik-Fil-A.
OK, not at the same time but once she was in town for the International Furniture Market and made a stop at the same local Chik-Fil-A I go to. Diane was a vegetarian so I guess she was there for the milkshakes.
Anyway, it's sad to see such a talent and beautiful actress leave us. Rest well, Diane. That young geek who first saw you in college loves you still.
