No Kings Day October 2025

Yesterday was the 2nd NO KINGS DAY in the good ol' USA and around the world even.

Or as Republicans called it, "HATE AMERICA DAY".

One Republican was confused by the purpose of the day and the ire directed towards Donald Trump.

"Donald Trump has said he does not want to be a king so I don't get it."

It is true that Li'l Donnie has said these words: "I don't want to be a king."

But he damn sure acts like one, acting with total impunity to attack his perceived enemies and sending troops against his own citizens.

To quote from Hamilton, "I will send a fully armed battalion to remind them of my love."

Which I may remind you is sung by King George.

I am reminded of the Republican who denied there was any Quid Pro Quo in Trump's efforts to extort Ukraine to do his bidding, the matter at the center of Trump's 1st impeachment.

This Republican said there was no
Quid Pro Quo because at no point during Trump's recorded phone calls with Ukraine's President Zelensky did he ever utter the words "Quid Pro Quo".

Really, that was a defense.

Does this work for everything?

"Your honor and members of the jury. I declare that the prosecution labeling my client a serial killer is a total fabrication. They claim that my client abducted over a dozen cheerleaders and tortured them to death in his so-called 'Red Room Of Terror'. But I must insist my client has made it very clear over and over  'I do not want to be a serial killer' and therefore he should be found NOT guilty of being a serial killer."

So Donald Trump can act like a goddam king but as long as he says he does not want to be a king, that's OK?

Fuck these guys.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said of those who would gather for the NO KINGS events: "I've had it with these people."

Mike has had it with a lot of people, not just American citizens but people all around the world who look to America to be a shining example of freedom and democracy and not an oppressive autocracy.

Republicans will twist themselves in knots trying to paint the events of Saturday as an expression of hate, a paid performance by nefarious forces designed to breed chaos and division.

With millions in attendance, what we can see with our own eyes is an expression of love and hope for a country that can still be redeemed from the autocratic grasp of those who seek power for power's sake at the expense of the American people.
