Lucy (Ella Purnell) is still on her mission to find her father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) but it's not a rescue mission anymore. After finding out her father is up to sketchy shit and plotting against the very people in the Vaults he was supposed to be helping, Lucy's looking to bring her father to justice.
Assuming anything like that is left in either the Vaults below or the Wasteland above. Justice or revenge, whatever she can get.
Lucy is trying really hard to be a positive life affirming person which is a really hard thing to do in a post apocalyptic nuclear wasteland. Also the company she's keeping isn't the best influence.
Lucy has partnered up with the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) who is on his personal quest for answers and vengeance.
Flashbacks to the pre-nuclear holocaust times when the Ghoul was still actor Cooper Howard continue to peel the onion of what went down before the bombs fell.
Did Vault-Tec actually orchestrate the nuclear attack? It looks like they did and Cooper's own wife was part of that cabal behind that particular heinous bit of fuckery.
Fallout is based on the video game of the same name, a game I have absolutely zero knowledge of. But I'm following the TV series just fine and in it's second season, Fallout still remains an engaging, intriguing series that has my full attention.
Prior to the 2026 Winter Olympics break, NBC comedies Happy's Place and Stumble hit some milestones before their hiatus.
Happy's Place hits a stumbling block in the relationship between Bobbie and Emmett when she learns his secret.
After the death of her father Happy, Bobbie was gobsmacked to learn that her dad had an affair which produced a daughter named Isabella who shows up to claim her half of the inheritance, Happy's bar.
Emmett it turns out was not surprised as he knew about Happy's secret daughter for years.
Bobbie isn't quite sure how to process this and breaks up with Emmett which is gonna be awkward as he work's at Happy's as the bar's cook.
While Andrea was floored by this revelation and the consequences to Bobbie and Emmett, I found it difficult to care. The whole sequence of events felt forced and the resulting emotional toil seems unearned. A dramatic twist for the sake of a dramatic twist.
Meanwhile, Stumble goes into it's Olympic break ending on a more positive note after everything that could go wrong going wrong.
Over a multi episode arc, cheer coach Courtney loses access to the gym for her cheer team when it was co-opted by the community center when it's building was shut down for asbestos.
Courtney convinces an A.I. data center to come to Headlston (still does not have one consistent pronunciation) to provide investment to restore the community center so Courtney can get her gym back.
Then cheer coach Courtney loses access to the gym for her cheer team when the A.I. data center sucks up all the town's power and water.
Long story made short, Courtney blackmails the head of the Headlston candy button factory to drive the A.I. data center out of town, fix the community center and cheer coach Courtney regains access to the gym for her cheer team.
They just might make it to the Dayton Cheer Championship after all.
Stumble remains a consistently funny laugh out loud comedy.
Coming up next week on the Touchbase (in no particular order):
- Brilliant Minds
- St. Denis Medical
- And the Touchbase debut of Wonder Man
Until next time, remember to be good to one another and try to keep it down in there, would ya? I'm trying to watch TV over here.
