Biden On Fire

Last week was a big week for President Joe Biden.

His State of the Union address to Congress last week went great. Biden was energized and articulate. He listed his accomplishments and laid out what he wants to do next.

He contrasted himself with his "predecessor" as a person looking to the future with hope as opposed to looking backward with hate.

Republicans in the House heckled him but it didn't throw Biden off his game and he took on the haters in the house.

No slow, low and feeble old guy, this. Biden brought fire and passion to his address to Congress.

And perhaps drugs according to the pundits on Fox.

Pundits on Fox were speculating that Biden's handlers gave him drugs or lots of caffeine or what he was "jacked up on".

Donald Trump said Biden shouted too much.

If that sounds hypocritical, well, it is. How much of Trump's circle jerk rallies are spent yelling about how much America sucks and only he can save it?

Remember, Trump was the guy who made fun of Chris Christie for being fat.

Hell yeah, Biden got loud and damn it, he needs to because too many people are not paying attention.

Polls currently have Biden trailing Trump by about 2 percentage points. It's not a big difference and it's not insurmountable but damn.

How can Biden who can speak in articulate complete sentences be running behind a guy who can't seem to follow a coherent train of thought or sometimes just stumbles off into making random noises.

Last week, Biden laid out a clear and cogent case for what he has done for the American people so far, what he hopes to do in the future and why the return of his "predecessor" is a turn for the worst for American democracy.

For the State of the Union rebuttal, the GOP gave that honor to Alabama Senator Katie Britt who made her presentation from a kitchen that was less a speech and more of an audition for a Lifetime movie.

From the 2:24 mark of the attached video, let Scarlett Johansson  do the heavy lifting on what Britt was like.
