The Priority of Revenge

We were warned this would happen

So far in the run up to his 2nd turn as President, Donald Trump has been running true to form, appointing people to cabinet positions less on their abilities, experience and skills and more on their loyalty to Donald Trump.

Those people willing to engage in Trump's true priority, of revenge.

This weekend's appointment announcement is Li'l Donnie's most egregious self serving move yet as he announced Kash Patel to take over as Director the FBI.

Unlike Cabinet posts which need to be filled by an incoming President as a matter of course, FBI Directors serve 10 year terms.

The current FBI Director Christopher Wray was appointed as FBI Director in 2017 when Trump fired James Comey as director.

Since then Wray has made the mistake of actually doing his job, following facts where they may lead, looking for crimes where they may be occurring....

Such as illegally storing classified documents at Mar A Lago.

Yeah, that sort of thing.

Trump had a vendetta against Wray and Kash Patel is his revenge.

It is probably not a big surprise to say that Kash Patel is fundamentally unqualified for the role of FBI Director, lacking any significant experience with law enforcement or leadership of a sprawling government agency.

What Patel does offer is unwavering loyalty to Donald Trump. Patel claims the 2020 election was stolen and that the government's legal and law enforcement apparatus has been weaponized against Donald Trump.

What would be on Patel's agenda as FBI Director?

Getting ride of government of “conspirators” against Trump

Going “after the people in the media who lied about American citizens who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections.”

In other words, Patel's priority is Trump's priority: revenge.
