What We’re Up Against

As you know, it is not an unfrequent topic for this blog to point out the lapse of ethics and intelligence of Li’l Donnie Trump and those morons who exist in his orbit to d his bidding and sing his praises.

But occasionally we need to cast our gaze out from the dark, soul sucking cesspool of Triump and his cronies and take a look at those in the face of all evidence continue to toe the line for Trump. Those who continue to support this cowardly and criminally inclined cretin and his complicit cronies.

Along Bowie Shop Road in Calvert County, Marlyland, there’s a billboard with this message: “Hey liberals, better get your guns if you try to impeach President Trump. From all of your deplorables in Calvert County.”

It is a threat, if not actual then at the very least implicit. A crude appeal to violence as an answer to possible actions the writer may not care for.

Local resident Michelle Rinker has this to say about this billboard:  I love the billboard. We're conservative and there’s a lot of corruption that's happened in this country and I don't think it’s threatening. If you attempt to take down a good president, there's gonna be a problem."

Yes, Michelle, you’re right that there is a lot of corruption and most of it’s circling around the ego maniac blob sitting in the White House and the flunkies he’s installed around him. Of course you think Trump’s “a good president” because you get all your “news” from Fox.

And speaking of those asshats….

“Fox & Friends” host Pete Hegseth was sucking Donnie’s tiny dick Friday morning by echoing Trump’s favorite target for trash talking, “failing New York Times”.  The source of Pete’s ire was this: “I looked for the five ISIS leaders captured in the failing New York Times.  And in the print edition today, I have not seen it yet.”

What Pete was looking to convey that the “failing New York Times” only plugs away at fake news that makes Trump look bad but will not cover anything good that happens under Trump, especially his “success” in the war on terror.

Well, Pete was right: there was nothing in Friday’s New York Times about the capture of the five ISIS leaders. That’s because the New York Times covered that story two days prior, on Wednesday, May 9th. A story that was reported on the Fox News channel on Thursday, citing the New York Times story.

Now the reason Pete and the other “Fox & Friends” bots were talking about this was, well, you know who had tweeted about it the day before.

Five Most Wanted leaders of ISIS just captured!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 10, 2018

So “Fox & Friends” host Pete Hegseth was two days behind on the story AND Li’l Donnie was a day behind the NY Times getting the story out. And not only was Li’l Donnie a day late but also a dollar short. Yes, Trump was lying.

You see, the story published by the New York Times described Iraqi news broadcasts referring to a sting operation that took place earlier in the spring.

Meanwhile, back in Calvert County, Marlyland, Michelle Rinker is watching Fox News and thinking that the liberal media is trying to hide a Donald Trump success story in the war against terror.

And this, dear reader, is what we’re up against.

The story tracks a bogus story about a Supreme Court ruling that struck down Sharia law. Despite being riddled with factual errors and being definitively debunked, the story continues to be liked, favorite and forwarded by people who have made up their own minds what the truth is.
