Andrea's Birthday

 Today's my wife Andrea's birthday.

Here's a fun fact: my wife's mother named her after the Andrea Doria, an ocean liner that sank in 1956.

Andrea is named after a shipwreck,

So yeah, that's gotta mess with your psyche. 

Andrea is a fairly positive person who believes the best in people.

She can also be a rather negative person who expect the worst in life. A simple headache, for instance, can lead to a diagnosis of brain tumor. 

Andrea is easily entertained with a habit of glomming episodes of Big Bang Theory on TBS weeknights after work. She lives the edict that "TV makes life... simple somehow".  

But she has standards.  Yes, she enjoys the work of Mayim Bialik on Big Bang Theory and we both agree she is crushing it as a guest host on Jeopardy but sorry, Mayim, Andrea's just not that into Call Me Kat. 

Buying sweets for Andrea can be tricky. Due to a medical condition, she can't have chocolate. So I am forever on the lookout for alternatives to chocolate chip cookies like oatmeal raison or macadamia nut. A box of chocolates is out for Valentine's Day but she can have white chocolate. 

Andrea is a unique and special kind of person. 

And she deserves a special kind of tribute on her birthday.  

So here, from deep down in my heart, is a special message to Andrea on this, her special day.

And I really, really mean that.
