The Knot On a Blog

I began I'm So Glad My Suffering Amuses You in March of 2013.  Except for a couple of months in the fall of 2017, I've kept this blog going through thick and thin.

Mostly thin. Really, nobody is reading this damn thing.

But nonetheless here I am, day after day howling into the void about whatever damn thing enters my head.

8 years and 3 months, I've been doing this.

Which means I've beaten Donald Trump by 8 years and 2 months as a blogger.

A “communications platform” Trump launched in early May as a means to reach his followers is shutting down.

“From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” was a much heralded replacement for Trump’s posts on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms after they banned him following his baseless claims of election fraud and inciting the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

This “communications platform” was just a blog.

Big deal. Hell, I'm doing a blog! Anyone can do a blog! '

Well, anyone but Donald Trump who gave up the damn thing after 29 days.

Apparently it got back to him that people were making fun of his blog.

Li'l Donnie is only just now realizing we've been making fun of him and his stupid shit?

Hell, I've been making fun of him for years.

Really, nobody is reading this damn thing.

Trump aide Jason Miller  swears bigger things are still to come, that the blog (excuse me,  “communications platform”) was just an “auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on.”

Miller has been light on the details on those "broader efforts" but yeah, the blog, alas, is gone.

“From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” was preceded in death by:

  • Trump Airlines
  • Trump beverages
  • Trump: The Game
  • numerous Trump casinos
  • Trump magazine
  • Trump Mortgage
  • Trump Steaks
  • a Trump travel website
  • Trump telecom
  • Trump University
  • Trump Vodka
  • The Trump Presidency
