The Price of Eggs and Freedom

Leave it to Dennis the Menace to nail the problem with prices.

Corporate America knows we have a need for things and they will charge as much as they can that they think we will pay.

Grocery prices were a big concern for voters. Particularly the price of eggs.  

While running for President, Kamala Harris saw the source of higher than normal food prices as price gouging and promised her administration would work to stop that.

While running for President, Donald Trump also noted that food prices were too high and his solution for that was to...

Do something! On Day One! Prices would come down. 

Trump won and post election polling suggested that Trump voters thought he better understood that Americans were struggling with higher food prices and was more likely to do something. 

Both Harris and Trump addressed high food prices. Only Harris addressed why those prices were so high and what she would do go to the source of that problem. Trump offered no specifics other than high prices were Biden's Harris's fault and only he could fix it by....

Doing something! On Day One! Prices would come down. 

So far food prices are as high as ever and out of the flurry of executive orders Li'l Donnie has churned out, none have addressed this problem. 

Egg prices have gone up.    

What has been the focus of Trump's attention is that government is being run by...

• women
• disabled people
• black people
• gay people
• transgender people
• disabled black gay transgender women
• people who didn't vote for Trump

Citing the great scourge of our nation as diversity, equity and inclusion, Trump's tech bro billionaire boyfriend Elon Musk is decimating the government with wholesale shut downs of entire government agencies.

Most egregious of these is Elon's assault on the USAID, the United States Agency for International Development.  

While Donald Trump thinks America's power comes from... well, power (We have more guns, boats and planes than you do so do as we say!), the real source of our country's influence abroad is when we do nice things for people.

• Your country is overrun by an epidemic? USAID is there!
• Your country is in the midst of a famine? USAID is there!
• Your country needs help with roads and rails? USAID is there!
• Your country needs more schools? USAID is there!

It's called "soft power", building a sense of goodwill towards the United States and our interests. It costs less and is more effective than sending in an army (We have more guns, boats and planes than you do so do as we say!).   

Then Elon Musk dubbed USAID a "criminal organization" (without specifying what crimes have been committed) and sent in his DOGE gestapo (young people just out of college and even just graduated high school) to shut down USAID, locking out employees from computer access.  

Trump praised his tech bro billionaire boyfriend for all the fraud he found at USAID without specifying exactly what fraud Elon supposedly found. It also seems clear to me that Trump had no idea that USAID existed or what it's purpose is.  

USAID is not the only government agency in danger of being unilaterally purged and shut down by Elon Musk who is not really the President but damn well acts like he is.

Meanwhile you stupid fucking morons who voted for Donald Trump, how do you like your god damn eggs now?
