The Taylor Swift Takeaway

We live in a world where we all can see and experience the same things but somehow we takeaway different things from what we see and experience. 

From the Doctor Who episode "Blink", Sally reaches a rather significant realization that she is the center of a strange and terrible mystery that ranges across the time itself. 

"The 17 DVDs, they're all the DVDs I own. The Easter egg was intended for me."

Larry's takeaway from that: "You've only got 17 DVDs?"

Living in a world where Donald Trump exists, we're perpetually reminded of the wide chasm between what we experience and what we take from that experience. 

We gaze upon this sweaty orange mass of a blubbering moronic man child and only some of us see a sweaty orange mass of a blubbering moronic man child. Others takeaway from Donald Trump a vision of a magnificent warrior deserving of unflagging fealty and devotion.  

About a week or so ago, this blog's Songs For Saturday feature spotlighted the music of Taylor Swift.

A week later Time magazine named Taylor Swift as their Person of the Year.

Coincidence? Yeah, it pretty much is. Nobody reads this damn thing. 

My takeaway from this is Time wanted to recognize an extraordinary young woman who has achieved remarkable success through hard work, talent and intelligence.

Or... and hear me out here....

The takeaway is that Swift is a pawn of the left-wing deep state to carry Democrats to victory in the 2024 presidential election. 

Right wing nut job Jack Posobiec had this to say in response to  Time magazine's Person of the Year recognition : “The Taylor Swift girlboss psyop has been fully activated. From her hand-selected vaccine shill boyfriend to her DINK lifestyle to her upcoming 2024 voter operation for Democrats on abortion rights. It’s all coming.”

Trump adviser Stephen Miller said this: “What’s happening with Taylor Swift is not organic.”

Another Trump dude Jeffrey Clark offered this assessment of the threat posed by Time's Person of the Year: "This is what happens when we cede culture to the Left. Brainless youth raising themselves on Taylor Swift’s saccharine bland music and that washing over into the serious world of politics."

A right wing account on X (Twitter) called End Wokeness posted this: “Taylor Swift has a cult-like following that would drink poisoned Kool Aid for her. The media knows this and is feeding it. Music. Entertainment. Sports. Now they crowned her Person of the Year. The next step? Politics. If you don’t think the regime has plans to weaponize her just in time for 2024, you clearly have not been paying attention.”

My takeaway from Taylor Swift being named Time's Person of the Year is that she has had a phenomenal year, selling out stadiums for her Eras tour and being a major force in pop culture in America and around the world.

I would think that would be the takeaway of most normal thinking people.  

But there are others with microphones and cameras who see this same thing and their takeaway is that Taylor is a cog in the wheels of the deep state, that she is being weaponized by the Democratic Party to take down their boy, Donald Trump.

It's a conspiracy, I tells ya! A conspiracy! 

And her cat is in on it too!
