Sarah Sanders Is (Officially and On the Record) a Lying Bitch!

There's a lot to process from the release of the redacted report by Robert Mueller of his investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

It is a hard, stone cold fact the Russians were engaged in fuckery to mess with the 2016 election. Trump can bray like a mule all he wants about the "Russian hoax" but on that point, there is no doubt the Russians were up to bad shit.

There may not have been any criminally actionable conspiracy between the Russians and the Trump campaign but damn there was a lot of colluding going on. The reason that there are no charges on this is mostly because it seems no one with the Trump campaign was smart enough to know what to do with what the Russians were offering.

And as for obstruction of justice, Mueller and his team document ten separate episodes where Trump was doing stuff that looked like obstruction, sounded like obstruction and smelled like obstruction.  Attorney General William Barr, repaying on whatever deal he made with the Devil for this gig, chalks up Trump's behavior to stress.  Li'l Donnie just wanted to do some presidentin' and everyone was pickin' on him for no good reason.

But my favorite part of the Mueller report was this bit.

On the subject of Trump's firing of James Comey as FBI Director, Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters at a press briefing on May 20, 2017 that the “rank-and-file of the FBI had lost confidence in their director.”

A day later, on May 11, then-acting FBI Director McCabe testified before a Senate panel that Comey had in fact “enjoyed broad support within the FBI and still does to this day.”

“I can confidently tell you that the majority, the vast majority of FBI employees enjoyed a deep and positive connection to Director Comey,” he said.

When a reporter asked Huckabee Sanders that day about her comments, which directly contradicted McCabe’s testimony, she said she was speaking to her “own personal experience.”

“I’ve heard from countless members of the FBI that are grateful and thankful for the president’s decision,” Sanders said from the podium. “And I think that we may have to agree to disagree. I’m sure that there are some people that are disappointed, but I certainly heard from a large number of individuals — and that’s just myself — and I don’t even know that many people in the FBI.”

OK, here's the good bit in Mueller’s report. Huckabee Sanders admitted to the special counsel’s office that her claim that Comey had lost the confidence of rank-and-file FBI agents was a lie, completely made up out of thin air.

Here's the text from the report: Sanders told this Office that her reference to hearing from ‘countless members of the FBI’ was a ‘slip of the tongue.’” “She also recalled that her statement in a separate press interview that rank-and-file FBI agents had lost confidence in Comey was a comment she made ‘in the heat of the moment’ that was not founded on anything."

Right there in the official, under oath to tell the truth, the whole truth so help you God: "was not founded on anything"

Which is a nice way to say, "total bullshit she made up on the spot."

I have had absolutely zero respect for Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She wears her alleged Christian faith like it some kind of damned super hero cape and lies to the press and therefore to the American people in service no to her country or even to her god but in deference to a tawdry small minded buffoon who does not deserve the office he so fortuitously holds. Donald Trump lies and bullies and threatens and this woman, this alleged follower of Jesus, frequently lies on his behalf.

If nothing else good comes out of this report, I'm glad her lying duplicitous ass got busted.

She doesn't care. As long as Donald Trump is happy, that's all that Sanders cares about.

OK, that might seem a bit harsh.

But consider this: Sanders is on the official record under oath admitting to lying to the press. She was on Hannity last night spinning it and still trying to back up the claim that Comey's ouster was a good thing because people at the FBI didn't like him.

A claim she said, under oath, "was not founded on anything"
