So there was this billboard outside Fort Oglethorpe, GA with a picture of Donald Trump along side this text:
"Unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulders." Romans 8:17.
Yeah, some motherfucker with money to burn sprung for a Billboard to compare Donald Trump to Jesus Christ.
OK, we could get into the the many, many, many (insert the word "many" about a hundred more times) ways that Donald Trump ain't no way, no how like Jesus Christ.
But here's the funny part.
Whoever was the evangelical nutcase who thinks that Donald Trump is comparable to Jesus Christ, who is probably filled with excess self righteousness about what a good ol' Christian they are... got the verse wrong.
Here's how the verse actually goes.
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Oh and they got the book wrong too.
The verse is not from Romans 8:17 but from Isaiah 9:6.
Oh and they also got wrong that Donald Trump is anything like Jesus Christ.
But I think this particular dead horse can't be beaten any deader.
The billboard is down now.
Jesus, for one, is grateful.
