Today's edition of Your Friday Video Link looks back to the 1960's Batman TV show.
Our first video link is Robin noticing Batgirl is pretty when she sleeps.
And Batman's rather unorthodox comment on that.
You really gotta see this.
"First oncoming thrust of Manhood?"
Oh my God! Really?
...
I mean, I get it. Batgirl is kinda hot in that... outfit. Thrusting manhood, yeah, I dig it but...
But don't say stuff like that, Bats!
In the next video link, Batgirl is not much of a proponent for feminism.
It's an episode where women have taken over the police department but who can expect them to stop crime when they're busy brushing their hair, reapplying lipstick and straightening their stockings.
And how do you expect them to run after bad guys in those heels?
And then there is the small matter of... the mice.
There was an issue of Detective Comics where Batgirl appears to be flummoxed by a run in her tights.
It's OK as Barbara Gordon did that deliberately to... I'll let her explain.
This reminds me of a time when Power Girl was asked to distract a teenage boy with her unique feminine assets.
Let me be clear I am not condoning this sort of behavior.
Anyway...
OK, one last video link. This one addresses a recurring trope in the Batman TV series where the Bat-computer pops out seemingly random facts and Batman makes it all make sense.
And Robin is bumfuddled as to how that all works.
That is that for this week's Your Friday Video Link.
Remember citizens, even in the Batmobile, you must always wear your seatbelts.
And if you are the parent or guardian of a teenage boy with "thrusting manhood", don't embarrass them by calling it out. C'mon, dude, that's just not cool.
