Penny For Your Thoughts

Well, the United States is no longer making pennies.

Considering the cost of making a single penny which equals 1 cent in value is more than 1 cent, why would we keep doing that?

Continued production of the penny has been a bone of contention for vlogger John Green and in the video clip below, John's brother Hank comments on the loss of the penny and what it represents for the current state of our government.

The elimination of the penny is because Donald Trump said so.

OK, so even a broken clock is right twice a day so props for Li'l Donnie getting that done.

But...

Getting rid of the penny is indicative of how Donald Trump does EVERYTHING.

Who needs facts and analysis and consideration of the laws that Congress passes?

Why bother with any of that when you can get things done because Donald Trump said so.

Getting rid of the penny is one thing, eh?

But what about bombing fishing boats off the coast of Venezuela?

Or imposing tariffs?

Or destroying government property?

Or sending the US military into action against US citizens?

Same rule applies: Donald Trump said so.

Small price to pay for getting rid of that annoying penny.
