Today's video is from the 1950's, a film featurette extolling the virtues of life here in North Carolina, from the mountains to the coast.
How much of any of this is applicable?
- Tobacco is still a thing but not so much as it was in the 1950's.
- Cotton was big then but now it's not.
- Hey, ladies! That nylon hose is mostly made in Mexico now for a diminishing market.
Times change but North Carolina remains a state with...
- Mountains on one end
- Beaches on the other end
- And in the middle... other... stuff.
I live in the part with the other... stuff.
