In the aftermath of the season finale of Doctor Who and with the advent of this year's June Pride Month, Your Friday Video Link is a spotlight on Russell T Davies.
It's an interview with RTD that serves as a retrospective of his life and career. This feature was released in 2023 concurrent with the 60th anniversary Doctor Who specials and just before the 2023 Christmas special.
It's a bit long (about an hour) but it's a very good look at RTD and his life and work. He discusses his formative years as a gay man in a time of AIDS and a repressive conservative British government that was openly hostile to homosexuals.
In addition to discussing Doctor Who, RTD looks back on his work on Queer As Folk, It's A Sin and other shows that he created and wrote that put gay life in the forefront.
