Songs For Saturday: U2, OK Go and Josh Turner

Hi there! It's the first Songs For Saturday for 2021.

Since yesterday was New Year's Day, let's kick off this edition with a live version of "New Year's Day" by U2.

2020 was a rough year what with the pandemic and Donald Trump being a dick. Sadly, as we move from one year to another, these problems are still with us. It's like here we go again.

Well, if here we go again, let's try to have some fun with it. Here is OK Go with "Here We Go Again".

But if our woes have followed us from 2020 to 2021, maybe (just maybe) if we have to go again, we can go again with a new spirit, a new confidence that the worst may be soon behind us.

On the subject of "here we go again", here is a version of "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again"... on a banjo!

Here is Josh Turner on the Gibson banjo with his pal Carson McKee on guitar with "Mamma Mia!"

We've had a new year's day and yes, here we go again.

But here's hoping we get it right this time.

Thanks for dropping by and listening to some of my favorite music.

Until next time, remember to be good to one another and to always keep the music alive.
