"It's Our Turn, So There!"

Yesterday, Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy put on his big boy pants and  announced “I am directing our House committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.”

So why are the Republicans looking to impeach Biden?

Well...

...

...

Give them a minute. They'll think of something.

From jump, the hard right nut cases in the House were determined that they were going to impeach President Biden for...

...

...

Something? Hold up, they're still thinking.

Rep. Scott Perry came up with some ideas after a reporter had the temerity to ask what "actual evidence" Republicans had, as opposed to mere allegations.  This is what Perry came up with.

"The homes that the Bidens own can't be afforded on a congressional or Senate salary."

Biden currently owns two homes, one that was affordable on a Senate salary and a second that was paid for after he was  vice-president from speaking fees.

"It's not normal for family members to receive millions of dollars from overseas interests."

"Family members" have received money doing lobbying for overseas interests. Is this good or bad, you decide. (Maybe ask Jared Kushner for his opinion on the subject.) But so far no one has connected a single dime to Joe Biden himself.

"We have the vice president on record saying that the prosecutor was fired."

Oh my God! This shit?!? Again?!?

Fuck me! OK, let's cover this one more time!

In 2016, Joe Biden urged Ukraine to fire its prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin.  Right wing nut cases will tell you that this was to save Hunter Biden who was on the board at Burisma, an energy company in Ukraine that was allegedly shady.

But Shokin was not investigating Burisma or any other business related to Hunter Biden. In fact, Shokin was widely known to be corrupt and it was Obama administration policy that he should be fired as a condition of aid to Ukraine.

If Hunter Biden was involved in sketchy shit with Burisma, he would've been in more trouble after his father's intervention in Ukraine. Shokin was replaced with a prosecutor who did not have his hand in the till and was prepared to root out corruption.

So much for Rep. Perry's big impeachment worthy case against President Biden.

Anyone else got anything?

...

...

...

Anything?

What it boils down to is the Democrats led not one but two impeachments against Donald Trump and now the Republican crazy kooks think, "It's our turn! So there!"
