Defamation By Truth

The trouble with trying to keep up with whatever shit Donald Trump is up is that before you can wrap your head around one dumbass thing, Li'l Donnie has staggered into another dumbass thing.

If I was going to write anything at all about Donald Trump (and let me assure you, I do NOT want to write anything at all about Donald Trump), it was going to be about his crazy assballs "Death Wish" post this fucking moron made about on his alleged social media site ("Truth Social"). 

Li'l Donnie bitched about Mitch McConnell actually supporting some damn Democratic thing or another (which Trump doesn't identify in his remarks but I suspect it has something do to with the bill to keep the government from shutting down).  Trump speculates that for McConnell to actually work with Democrats, he must have a "DEATH WISH".  Yep, he wrote that in all caps.

Now one might make the case that Trump was speaking "metaphorically" but when the core of Trump's QANON crazed base is heavily armed with a history of violence, well, saying someone has a "DEATH WISH" is rife for terrible potential.

Then Trump went after McConnell's wife, Elaine Chao or who Li'l Donnie described as "China loving Coo-Coo Chow".  

Yes, Elaine Chao is Chinese... by way of Taiwan which is the democratic China and not the bigger sinister China.  

And yes, Republicans are tying themselves in knots trying to dodge commenting on that nonsense.

Only to have Donald Trump dredge up new nonsense. 

On Monday, Donald Trump filed a $475 million lawsuit alleging CNN carried out a campaign of “libel and slander” against the former president and used its influence as a news organization “for the purpose of defeating him politically.”

Among the defamations Trump was forced to endure was the network referring to him as “racist,” a “Russian lackey,” an “insurrectionist” and had compared him to Adolf Hitler.

Which might be problem for ol' CNN except, well...

Donald Trump is “racist"!

He is a goddamn “Russian lackey"!!  

He's sure as shit an “insurrectionist”!!!

And Donald Trump is fucking comparable to goddamn Adolf fucking Hitler!!!!!  

I am reminded of a sketch Irish comedian Dave Allen once performed on his BBC show back in the 1970's. 

Dr. Watson enters his apartment on Baker Street that he shares with Sherlock Holmes and Watson was quite upset.

"I say, Holmes, I am most distraught. I heard people saying you and I are in a homosexual relationship."

Holmes calmly replies, "My dear Watson, we are in a homosexual relationship."

"I know," Dr. Watson exclaims. "I just hate people saying it." 

The idea of this ill conceived lawsuit making it's way to any kind of trial is absurd.  

Trump's lawyer: "My client has been defamed by being compared to Adolph Hitler!"

CNN's lawyer clears their throat and proceeds for the next 2.5 hours to provide a litany of documents, video clips and more to clearly show the comparisons between Trump and Hitler, then the judge orders a break for lunch, and then after lunch is another 2.5 hours of even more documents, video clips and more to clearly show the comparisons between Trump and Hitler.  

Trump's lawyer: "Can we have a brief recess?"

Then Trump's lawyer hops on an airplane and flies off to Fiji, never to be heard from again. 

Pity poor Li'l Donnie Trump, forced to endure defamation by truth.
