- singer Gloria Gaynor
- the rock band Kiss
- actor-singer Michael Crawford
These are the first nominees for the Kennedy Center Honors since Donald Trump took over the damn thing earlier this year.
He announced a couple of days ago these recepients of the Kennedy Center Honors would be announced soon.
When reached for comment, the staff at the Kennedy Center responded with "Who is going to do what when now?"
Normally, the nominees for the Kennedy Center Honors are chosen in through a careful selection process by a bi-partisan committee.
These nominees were selected out of a hat by Donald Trump. Major qualification: being a Trump supporter.
Really? Gloria Gaynor? And Michael Crawford? Really?
Trump said a lot of names were eliminated because they were too woke and too liberal.
Nominees for the Kennedy Center Honors are chosen to recognize a lifetime achievement in their respective field of art, in music, acting, writing, that sort of thing, not for their political inclination.
Oh get a load of this: the award ceremony will be hosted by... Donald Trump.
He claims he did not want to do it but he was asked so he agreed.
