Weird Hamilton Stuff

Welcome to I'm So Glad My Suffering Amuses You, a Peggy blog in a Schuyler sister internet.

Yes, my brain is style psyched on Hamilton so let's look at some weird Hamilton related stuff.

"The Hamilton Polka" by "Weird Al" Yankovic was released on March 1, 2018 as a digital single and is composed entirely of songs from Hamilton.

Below is a recently assembled video using footage from the Hamilton film streaming on Disney+.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is a big fan of "Weird Al" Yankovic. Below is video of Lin listening to "The Hamilton Polka" and just totally geeking out that one of his biggest musical heroes has made a parody record of Lin's music.

Musicians know they've hit the big time when  "Weird Al" Yankovic does a parody of their music.

Of all the accolades Lin-Manuel Miranda has received for creating Hamilton, having "Weird Al" Yankovic perform a polka medley from Hamilton is perhaps Lin's biggest honor.

Next up is a clip from Comedy Central's Drunk History with an inebriated Lin-Manuel Miranda relating the story of Alexander Hamilton's sex scandal and the subsequent "Reynolds Pamphlet".

Helping to bring Lin's history lesson alive are Alia Shawkat as Alexander Hamilton and Aubrey Plaza as Aaron Burr.

It's almost like seeing the actual Hamilton show again.

Stay safe and remember to be good to one another.
