Once More, The Soul Sucking Existence Of Donald Trump

Over the last few weeks, I’ve managed to avoid certain topics thanks to an emphasis on other things like:

But I find I can’t ignore the vast dark gravity of a certain person’s moronic stupidity and astonishingly epic levels of incompetence.

 

Yes, dear reader, I’m So Glad My Suffering Amuses You must once one more succumb to the soul sucking existence of Donald Trump. 

 

In the words of the 10^th Doctor: “I’m sorry. I’m so, so sorry.”  

 

OK, new year with 2018, a new hope that things might get better. Then Li’l Donnie gets back on Twitter and quickly shatters that hope.   

Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols. She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others

OK, a guy who is ostensibly President of the United States continues to make derogatory comments against a former political opponent who is now a private citizen. Other than the sheer childishness of still referring to “Crooked Hillary Clinton” long after the campaign has ended, this is the behavior of a dictatorial despot using the power of his office against a private citizen. We should be better than this.

 

The accusation being levelled against Huma Abedin stems from the emails (Yes, Jesus Roosevelt H. Christ! Emails…again!) the FBI found on Anthony Weiner’s laptop, emails involving his wife Huma Abedin that were uncovered in late 2016 right before the election that seemed to be connected to the email brouhaha surrounding Hillar Clinton’s private email server. Then as now, the FBI is not seeing a crime here.  

 

“Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail!” This relates to a story from a couple of years back about a sailor who took photos on a submarine that disclosed classified and proprietary information. The sailor was tried, determined to be guilty and sentenced to jail. The comparisons between what the sailor did and the reported actions of Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin are tenuous and superficial at best. But right wing media outlets like Fox and Breitbart will not let the comparison go and neither will Li’l Donnie. And “Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail!” is a reminder that if that sailor had to go to jail, so too should Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin go to jail.  OK, a guy who is ostensibly President of the United States is calling for private citizens who have not been charged, tried or convicted of a crime to be jailed.

 

“Deep State Justice Dept” references another favorite talking point of Fox and Breitbart and alt right activists. “Deep state” refers to levels of government so deeply embedded who cannot be removed or held accountable working for it’s own (liberal, of course) agenda. “Deep state” paranoia is not new among the alt right. It was assumed that the “deep state” was working a cross purposes of a Republican Congress which is the only reason Barack Obama had any power in Washington. Now the conspiracy theorists have the “deep state” no longer working to prop up a President in defiance of the will of the people but now actively working to bring down Donald Trump in defiance of the will of the people.

 

OK, I could peel away more from that Tweet but Trump had others.  

 

Since taking office I have been very strict on Commercial Aviation. Good news - it was just reported that there were Zero deaths in 2017, the best and safest year on record!

I gotta ask: how the fuck has Li’l Donnie been very strict on Commercial Aviation? When the hell was this even a topic of conversation for him?

I’m kind of actually looking forward to this.  Knowing Trump’s disconnect from reality, his list of Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media will also be a list of stupid things Trump did in 2017.

President Trump unleashed on his former chief strategist and campaign manager Wednesday, issuing a long and unusual statement questioning Stephen K. Bannon's mental stability, honesty and political influence.

 Here’s some of Li’l Donnie’s statement:




"Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Now that he is on his own, Steve is learning that winning isn't as easy as I make it look. Steve had very little to do with our historic victory, which was delivered by the forgotten men and women of this country. Yet Steve had everything to do with the loss of a Senate seat in Alabama held for more than thirty years by Republicans. Steve doesn't represent my base — he's only in it for himself."

“He's only in it for himself”? Well, if anyone knows what that looks like, it’s Trump.   


Of course, Trump can’t resist inflating his ego even as he hurls Bannon  under a bus. 

“Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party."

 It’s not enough that Trump won the Republican nomination, he had to win in against “as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party”? 

I know there a lot of short memories out there but the candidates fielded for the Republican primary was the most talentless group of hacks ever assembled for any purpose anywhere which only HELPED Li'l Donnie's campaign.

If you’re wondering what’s got Li’l Donnie’s Underoos in a knot, Bannon criticized Trump and his family in recent interviews — mocking the president's intellect, criticizing the operations of the White House. 

So after all the stupid shit Steve Bannon has done with his life, he gets in trouble for telling the truth?

His most recent comments, published in excerpts from a book by journalist Michael Wolff published online Wednesday, came two weeks after a Bannon profile in Vanity Fair pissed off  Li’l Donnie and his senior aides.


I’m not sure why everyone is so upset over excerpts from magazine articles and books as I’m not sure either Trump or Bannon supporters know how to read.

OH MY GOD! NOW THERE’S THIS!!!!

This statement appears to contradict Trump’s repeated claims that he was unaware his eldest son, as well as his son-in-law Jared Kushner, had met with the Russians.



Of course, anything ever said by anybody anywhere frequently contradicts anything Trump said anywhere. 





 But still….



“The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor — with no lawyers,” Bannon told Wolff.  “Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shit, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately,” he added. 





Steve, you’re a racist, small minded bastard so stop trying to make me love you.
