Monday Without Doctor Who or Who Was That Whovian Watching the Super Bowl?
Normally on Mondays after a new episode of Doctor Who, I post something called Doctor Who Is NEW!
Doctor Who was on last night and it was new.
But today, there is no Doctor Who Is NEW!
How can that be?
Well, that's easy.
I didn't watch it.
Yes, it is true that I, a loyal and devoted Whovian, did not watch Doctor Who last night.
I watched the Super Bowl instead.
Well, it's a family thing.
A few years ago after the death of my mother in law, we've made it a thing to visit Andrea's father to watch the Super Bowl.
Mostly to watch the commercials, eat food, make fun of the halftime show and where in football was actually involved, bitch about what miserable bastards the New England Patriots are.
Well, this year we could scratch that last one of the list.
San Francisco 49ers vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
Not really having a dog in this fight, I decided to pull for the 49ers because of my opposition to the appropriation of Native American culture and California did not vote for Trump in 2016.
I'm writing this part before actually seeing the Super Bowl.
Below this line is my update afterwards

Well, the Chiefs won, beating the 49ers 31 to 20.
Political and cultural considerations aside, I think I'm glad Kansas City won, a smaller city compared to some of the other big markets in the United States and the Chiefs have been waiting a long time for this win.
My favorite commercial was the Highlander spot with Cobie Smulders picking up people from various high intensity dangerous situations. Runner up was the Jeep commercial with Bill Murray reprising Groundhog Day.
Mr. Peanut coming back from the dead as Baby Nut was a swing and a miss.
Demi Lovato aced the National Anthem with flying colors.
And the halftime show with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez was a dazzling affair with amazing choreography and beautiful costumes.
These two ladies were as sexy as all get out.
I will say I felt very awkward watching this with my wife and father in law. Like I was watching Pornhub with them in the room or something.

Tomorrow, a double post of Doctor Who Is NEW! and the Tuesday TV Touchbase on The Good Place.
Until next time, remember to be good to one another.
