When Can We Say Good-Bye to the Horse?

One of the funniest people on the planet right now is John Mulaney.

Whenever I need a quick laugh to kick my ass back into gear, I I'll look up a clip on You Tube from one of Mulaney's stand up specials or one of his appearances on Saturday Night Live and it gets me going.

If I need more intensive care, then I boot up Netflix and carbo load one of his specials.

Right after Donald Trump was elected, John Mulaney came up with perhaps the funniest and most insightful take on what it's like living with Trump as the President.

It's like there's a horse loose in a hospital.

On Saturday, November 7th when the news networks called their projections that Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States, John Mulaney tweeted the following.

Sadly, the horse hasn't quite left yet.

Donald Trump still refuses to admit that Joe Biden won.

Donald Trump continues to bellow and scream that the election was rigged, the voting was beset by fraud and that Trump actually won.

And his denial of reality continues unabated.

Christopher Krebs, head of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security at the Department of Homeland Security, had this to say: “59 election security experts all agree, ‘in every case of which we are aware, these claims either have been unsubstantiated or are technically incoherent.’ ”

Christopher Krebs is now no longer the head of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security at the Department of Homeland Security after being fired by Donald Trump who had this to say on Twitter: "The recent statement by Chris Krebs on the security of the 2020 Election was highly inaccurate, in that there were massive improprieties and fraud — including dead people voting, Poll Watchers not allowed into polling locations, glitches in the voting machines which changed votes from Trump to Biden, late voting, and many more."

Trump's claims were quickly flagged by Twitter as “disputed.”

Despite Li'l Donnie's petulant temper tantrums that the 2020 election was beset by widespread fraud, neither Trump nor his lackeys have produced even the smallest shred of evidence of such fraud.

An army of judges have kicked every one of Trump's lawyers to the curb for daring to show up with their silly lawsuits and their unfounded accusations with no supporting facts or proof.

Meanwhile, someone dares to tell the truth of the matter and they are fired for it.

By all accounts, Christopher Krebs was someone who was actually very good at his job, worked hard to make sure our electoral processes were as secure as possible but was fired because he dared provide an assessment of the election that runs counter to Trump's delusional fantasies.

It seems the horse is still with us for now.

And no one knows what the horse is gonna do next.
