We want to know these things.
Nay, we NEED to know these things.
But so far we know more abour Robert Mueller's Russian investigation than we do about new Doctor Who.
Except last week, there was a crack in the wall.
A short scene was posted online, with the new regenerated Doctor and 2 of her companions. Not a lot was spoiled. Apparently crashing into a planet has scrambled the good Doctor's memory, a not uncommon post-regeneration side effect.
It is an otherwise innocuous little scene but it made me feel a little better about the future.
Despite it's brevity, the BBC was very irked by the breach of security. The BBC is going to court unravel the identity of the person or persons who leaked the footage.
Legal action is a big step towards curtailing leaks.
But seriously, the BBC has an audience starving for any kind of insight into the new Doctor Who.
We did get a look at this, the new Doctor's new sonic screwdriver. So at least we have that.
Unless this is also unauthorized.
I hope not. For God's sake, BBC, give us SOMETHING.
OK, now this is official news. The new composer for Doctor Who will be Segun Akinola. Click here for one of Akinola's compositions.
Well, that's something.
But we still don't even have an air date for this fershlugginer show.
Also... will the new Doctor Who get a Christmas special?
Maybe? The online CV of a professional TV editor, with a listing that said she was working on the Doctor Who Christmas special. The page also named Wayne Yip as the director of the new festive adventure and longtime Who worker Nikki Wilson as the producer.
So a 2018 Doctor Who Christmas special may still be a thing.
But we know nothing for sure. Other that Segun Akinola is doing the music, we don't know nothing.
C'mon, BBC! Give us something! PLEASE!!!
